This page documents the history of the Network of Economic Development Officers in New York City Knowledge-Based Institutions, a project staffed by David Hochman from Fall 2004 through Summer 2007. The Network met 22 times during this 36-month period.

The mission of the Network was to provide a regular, neutral venue through which institutional officers with responsibility for economic development could meet, exchange information on best practices, and interact with invited guests from the public and private sectors.

This Network was a project of the Emerging Industries Alliance of New York State, Inc., an umbrella for six statewide high-technology trade associations. Funding was provided by the Civic Program of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research. The Center for Economic and Environmental Partnership, Inc, a 501(c)(3) public-charity, served as fiscal agent for the Emerging Industries Alliance.
